BIOGRAFÍA / Biography

Lenemar es una artista textil que utiliza fibras naturales como la lana y el algodón para crear un espacio de conversación y dilema. Lenemar nació en Puerto Rico y creció en "la cordillera central", una zona montañosa de Puerto Rico donde se acercó a su origen indígena y a diferentes aspectos de la naturaleza. Actualmente, Lenemar está centrada en terminar su BFA y espera ampliar su educación e investigación sobre el Caribe colonial mientras trabaja con comunidades locales en entornos educativos y artísticos.

 

Lenemar is a fiber artist who uses natural fibers such as wool and cotton to create a space for conversation and dilemma. Lenemar was born in Puerto Rico and was raised in “la cordillera central” a mountainous area of Puerto Rico where she was brought closer to her indigeneity and different aspects of nature. Lenemar is currently focused on finishing their BFA and hopes to expand their education and research of the colonial Caribbean whilst working with local communities in educational and artistic settings.
